The beauty of Khumbu's soaring peaks and green valleys led to the establishment
here of the first national park in the Himalaya, known as Sagarmatha National
Park, after Everest's Nepali name. Besides mountain panoramas of Everest,
Ama Dablam and others, you experience the sacred and profane of Sherpa
culture. Along the route there are stops in tea houses, villages  and
markets, and insights into Buddhist religious practices.
