India - Sikkim & Ladakh

Sikkim - 18 days

(1) - IXB (Bagdogra) - Martan.
Arrival at IXB, Coktail, meals. Transfer to Gangtok (135KM / 4 hours) night at the hotel.
(2) - Martam - Gangtok.
Rest day, visit in the day of artisans, of monastery of Enchey, of the Research Institute of Tibetology, the sanctuary of orchids, Choten (temples) and the very famous Rumtek Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.
(3) - Gangtok.
Excursion to Lake Tshangu. Overnight at the hotel.
(4) - Gangtok - Yuksom.
Departure to Yuksom. The after noon walk and discovering Norbugang (throne of stone) of coronations, visit the Dubdi (cells for hermits) Monastery - the oldest monastery of Sikkim built in 1700. You plunge into the Himalayan typical life to Yuksom. Overnight at the hotel.
(5) - Yussom - Tsoka.
Small hour trek, 3 h of walk through green prairie, crossing 4 mountain rivers. Further the path is bordered by conifers, littered with a bed of leaves before reaching Bakhim, small mountain village at 2744 m above sea level, then you will continue in the direction of Tsoka last most important village, monastery, it is the last village of the path to 3049 m. You will spend the night.
(6) - Tska - Dzongri.
10 Km walk in mounted (5 hours) in vegetation of bushes, as to measure your fitted, rhododendrons, miniature pins resembling a bonsai and arrived at Dzongri 4030 m.
(7) - Dzongri.
Dzongri symbolizes solitude. Surrounded by hand and other summits. Fortress without camp or two refuges allow trekkers to spend the night. Starting at 4:30 for the Summit of Dzongri 4269 m, a unique view sue Kanchenjunga and other mountain ranges bathed by the brightness of the rising sun. Back at camp, acclimation.
(8) - Dzongri - Thanshing.
You lose altitude during the first half of the trek to the return along the Prekchu River. You join your camp at Thanshing 3842 m. Base camp for expeditions of Mount Tinchinkhan 6010 m.
(9) - Thanshing - Sumethang.
Early departure for Sumethang to 4440 m. The picturesque hut is placed on a small width of land no bigger than 2 tennis courts, surrounded on all sides by towering mountains. Born a small lake with a blue-green, pool of the mountains, crossed by a torrent of glaciers: it is the representation of the most beautiful dream of lovers of nature. Enjoy it for the night.
(10) - Sumethang - Goechala - Sumethang - Thanshing.
You will leave at 3 in the morning with lamps, to climb Goechala (col Goecha) 4955 m, the temperature is very cool. A trail at 4955 m; height of the highest peak of Europe, you walk while the Sun passes shyly through the mist of the morning.
Back to Sumethang to retrieve your business on Thanshing.
(11) - Thanshing - Tsoka.
Return to Tsoka by a short trail through a beautiful forest. Rest.
(12) - Tsoka - Yuksom.
Repetition of the 3rd day, the only difference being the descent to Yuksom. Visit the Dubdi monastery.
(13) - Yuksom - Kalimpong.
Departure to Kalimpong. Free evening. Overnight at the hotel.
(14) - Kalimpong.
Visit Dello Hills, the home of Dr. Graham, nurseries of flowers, Jong-Dong-Pahiffo Brang, Dubdi Dara Hills Nature interpretation centre. Overnight at the hotel.
(15) - Kalimpong - Darjeeling.
Departure for Darjeeling, free evening. Overnight at the hotel.
(16) - Darjeeling.
Early in the morning you will go to Tiger Hills and to admire the sunrise on the peaks of Kanchenjunga. On the way back, visit the monastery Batasia Loop. In the after - noon, visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda temple of Lalkothi, the Dhirdham temple, the art gallery Ava and the Museum of natural history. Overnight at the hotel.
(17) - Darjeeling.
Visit Park Zoological padmaja Naidu, of the Mountain Institute of Himalayan, Himalayan due help Tibetan and the State of the Center. Overnight at the hotel.
(18) - Darjeeling - Siliguri. End of the trek.
