Island Peak fact sheet
Trekking up the legendary Valley of Khumbu in its first part, charged Valley of history, and can acclimatize to climb Island Peak. No great difficulty but need to use crampons and help the fixed ropes, including on the tapered edge of last 100 meters.
At the top of Gokyo peak, the pyramid of Everest stands majestically before you. You are surrounded by the giants of the Earth, surrounded by a Crown of peaks of more than 8000 m. Their magnificence is reflected in the Lakes Gokyo, wonders of nature in the turquoise waters. The Summit, the view is striking nearby peaks: Baruntse, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Kang Taiga.
