Trek in Ladakh: crossing the Valley from Sham - 4/5 days

Voyageinsolite offers a magnificent Trek accessible to everyone in Ladakh, in the North of the India.
We will cross the magnificent Valley from Sham, desert landscapes and green Plains. We will visit Buddhist monasteries to Likir and Lamarayu, and we will go to the meeting of local populations.

Departing from Leh, the capital of Ladakh situated at an altitude of 3500 m, this easy trek to have a first experience of climbing in the high mountains and acclimate to the market at high altitude, while admiring the Himalayan landscapes of the India and including the legendary chain of Himachal Pradesh.
After joining Leh by air departing Delhi and Kathmandu, the first day is dedicated to the preparation of the trek and Buddhist monsteres tours of the city. Then departure to Likir village and its magnificent 12th century monastery. You'll see Buddhist monks recite mantras. Then we head towards the village of Lamarayu and its famous monastery, a majestic gompa of the Kagyu order.
We spend a first pass, the Pobe at 3588 m. Of other low altitude passes we will wait: Charatse to 3750 m, Tsermangchan to 3893 m, indicator La 3926 m and finally the highlight of this trek, the Sham to 4069 m. The trek ends at the village of Shindeyang.

On our way we will admire the pretty typical villages with their white houses clinging on the flank of the mountains. In the Valley from Sham, lunar landscapes and lush nature occur: magnificent torrents, fruit trees, a variety of wildlife. The nights are comfortable lodge or homestay.
